Digital Identity
Biometry (from the Greek bios life and metron measurement) is the taking of standardized measurements of living beings or biological processes. The study for the unequivocal recognition of people based on one or more intrinsic behavioral or physical traits, rather than mechanical ones, is also called biometrics.
In information technology (IT), "biometric authentication" or "computer biometrics" is the application of mathematical and statistical techniques on the physical or behavioral traits of an individual, for their authentication, that is, "verify" their identity.
