With Your Digital Signature you can certify electronically signed contracts with a simple signature with notaries in two ways:
Protocolize the document, the original document remains as a record in the notary's office and a faithful copy is sent with an advanced electronic signature of the notary.
2. Autorizar notarialmente firmas electrónicas avanzadas (FEA) geolocalizadas: Se autoriza la FEA de los documentos que hayan sido firmados en diferentes lugares geográficos de Chile.
Protocolization is the fact ofadd a document to the end of a notary's record, at the request of whoever requests it. For the protocolization to have legal effect, it must be recorded in the repertoire book on the day the document is presented, in the manner established in article 430.
In protocolization it instrumentally welcomes a consensus already made, a manifestation, a stipulation already formulated; implements events that occurred without his prior intervention. His attitude is, therefore,convert a private act into a notarial act.

¿En que consiste?
Dar fe de la autenticidad de la firma del que suscribe un documento de la forma en como la ley determina que consta dicha autenticidad. (art. 401 Nº 10 y 425 ambos COT). Autorizar firmas es el equivalente al firmo ante mi, la única diferencia es que se realiza de forma digital, en vez de presencial.
